About Owens Corning

In 1935, two of America’s leading glassworks companies (Corning Glass Works and Owens-Illinois) forged a partnership to share in the exploration and development of an emerging new material – fiberglass. A few years, and many advancements in the processing and application of glass in insulation later, the Owens Corning Fiberglass Corporation was born. Today, Owens Corning continues to lead the insulation industry it helped pioneer, leveraging the talent of thousands of global employees to develop sustainable insulation solutions that improve the future – for customers, suppliers, partners, and the world.
